What's your business, and who are your customers?

I built a company called The Balance MavenⓇ , and I serve spiritual seekers and service-based entrepreneurs in answering their soul's calling and creating and executing effective business strategies that allow them to stay in their zone of genius.

Tell us about yourself

I am a certified coach and balance expert on a mission to serve spiritual seekers and service-based entrepreneurs. I did not come by my balance expertise easily. In fact, an insatiable curiosity and resilient spirit seem to have become an open invitation to the Universe for the brutal exploration of my edges. Much like my clients, I have known proper imbalance and rapid oscillation across a number of life's metaphorical scales. As a result, I have come to understand balance as a foundational pillar of existence. When we master balance, we find the freedom to live as our best selves in our best lives. My experiences have led me to discover that balance is not a stagnant point to be maintained but rather that balance and imbalance are both intentional and necessary in their own right.

Balance is a rhythm, a dance, and if mastered, it is the key to a successful business and a fulfilling life experience. I am always exploring these edges and passing the learning along to those I serve to make it easier and faster for them to reach their goals. My approach combines an omnipresent intuitive gift with experienced-informed strategies to help clients overcome the imbalances operating in their own lives and tip the scales in their favor in order to realize their soul-inspired end goals and the steps to get there. I LOVE to help business owners safely explore their soul's edges and strategically build a business that is a vehicle for a life they love to live.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

It is hard to narrow it down to just one! For me, my biggest accomplishment has been in building a business that is a vehicle for a life I love to live and that also gives me freedom and flexibility for my children. For those I am fortunate enough to serve, the accomplishment has been in helping my clients answer their unique calling and amplify their impact. I am blessed to help expand their ripple effect through intuitive business strategies that allow them to stay in their genius work and increase both their impact and income.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

When you love what you do and do what you love, it's easy to always be engaged in work like it's a hobby. It's a quality problem... But still sometimes a problem. As I mentioned before, I am always exploring my own edges. It always seems like there is something I want to do, and it can be hard to shut it off.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Build based on a passion or 'calling' that you have.
  2. Be ready for the work in the beginning.... They don't lie when they say you work 100 hours for yourself to avoid working 40 for someone else... But the freedom and flexibility are worth the early hustle.
  3. As much as possible, get clear on the journey you want to lead your clients or customers on, as that will inform strategy and planning... And planning early often saves time in execution.
