What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Alternative Response Method helps individuals and organizations learn how to make optimal decisions. We are casting a broad net and looking for customers from a variety of markets. Optimal decision-making is critical for being a leader, mechanic, accountant, parent, and everything else. Most people make decisions intuitively, and there is the risk of intuitive complacency.
Tell us about yourself
I have another successful consulting firm in another field (Chicago Corrosion Group). I have been married for 31 years and have three adult daughters. I have been a combat martial artist for more than 30 years. I am motivated by helping others. No one is teaching individuals how to make better decisions.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Starting successful businesses.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I'm the founder of ARM - nothing is hard.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Gather a group of well-vetted mentors (not friends) and listen to them. Do not let your feelings dictate how you manage your business. Make sure there is a market for whatever it is you promote. Do not. Let me repeat. Do not follow the trope, "Do what you love, and the money will follow."
