What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm an international keynote speaker and author with years of CEO work experience in Media, as CEO of a Zoo and CEO of a lottery. Oh, and I've started four successful entrepreneurial companies. Today's customers are event planners and TV/Radio and Podcast hosts.
Tell us about yourself
I'm an "idea dude" who is a disruptive innovator and entrepreneur with a drive for integrity and honesty. He's worked in the trenches, survived the new business trends, and had success with generational changes. Oh, and I've given away over one billion dollars while helping foil the largest lottery fraud in U.S. history.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
After 20 years as an executive of a media NYSE company, I became an entrepreneur creating four separate successful companies.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Building a diverse staff who will challenge me in legal, accounting, sales, and operational issues.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Learn how to relax. Success is like cocaine. Once you taste it, you want more. As I grow older, I know now happiness happens on the way to success. Learn to enjoy today.
- When you profit, never bet the full bank on the next big thing. Always have a reserve to play with for your next crazy idea, but know you'll be OK if it fails.
- Dare to Dream, and not judge, a quick 100 ideas every day. Then prioritize and Dare to Act on the top items. The world is a big, diverse place. Go for all customers, not just those who look and think like you. Creativity is nothing without Innovation. You must act and learn to quickly succeed or fail.
