Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in food and beverage but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Fahad Ahmed, owner of Tera v Burger, located in Kitsilano Vancouver, BC, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a vegetarian, vegan comfort food local spot striving to make this planet a better and a safer place for everyone.

Tell us about yourself

Always wanted to have something of my own, like any immigrant's dream. After working for over ten years, running stores for corporations and the hunger to cook, feed and host people was the main driving force and what keeps us going every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We started at the beginning of the pandemic. And didn't we just lay off anyone but did donation drives for frontline workers and were able to provide more employment to the people in months to come.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Rising costs and expenses along with unpredictability.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be there every day, work with your team and learn about your customers.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

We also serve the biggest dessert menu in Vancouver, catering to all dietary restrictions.
