What's your business, and who are your customers?

We offer a one-stop shop for brands’ content and branding needs, from photography, and video production, to content strategy and management across all digital and social channels. We work with many brands in the food and beverage industry, ranging from Kellogg's to Heineken, Oreo, Lee Kum Kee, and Del Monte.

Tell us about yourself

Teez Agency was started almost ten years ago when we found a passion for creating content and helping brands find their voice in a changing and growing digital world. As content and the way consumers reach brands continue to change, being able to tap into creative ways to help brands grow and connect is what makes each day exciting.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would say my biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been being able to really narrow down on a niche category and building out a team that has all specialized and perfected their crafts to not only push our business forward but be able to provide our clients an exceptional service that bolsters quality amongst our competition.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest challenges as a business owner is maintaining authenticity and being a little fish in a big pond. Being authentic in this industry can be tough because content moves in trends and waves, and it's very easy to get caught up in a certain style because "everyone is doing it."

We take pride in providing our clients with alternative solutions and creative direction to help them elevate their content and strategy goals so that they compete on a different level.

Another challenge is being a little fish in a big pond. With so many agencies, it becomes a very competitive landscape, and for us to navigate through that, we focus strongly on our quality, authenticity, and customer service to ensure our clients are getting exactly what they want and need!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Starting a business is definitely a fun and challenging experience, and I always recommend it to anyone looking to expand their creativity and tap into areas they're passionate about. Three tips I would recommend would be:

  1. Recognize your strengths and weaknesses and tap into your strengths; don't be afraid to get help in areas where you're weak.
  2. Speed is king. Most things really only take about an hour to do - don't push it for later.
  3. Have a niche.
