Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal and business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Taylor Hartman, CEO of Taylor Hartman Enterprises, located in Sandy, UT, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is mental health. I work with individual clients, business executives, and business teams to facilitate strong communication, emotional intelligence, and effective relationships.

Tell us about yourself

People want answers, and I have always loved helping them sort out the whys behind the whats, so they truly understand why they and others think and behave as they do. I researched and wrote The Color Code (now The People Code) in 1987, and it has been a core gift I use to begin every consultation, whether personal or business because it works and gives answers and understanding.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Training hundreds of trainers around the world to teach concepts on becoming a character individually and treating people with care and integrity.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Discovering talent who feels the same passion and commitment as I do.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Only do what you do best. Only do what you are passionate about. Only do what creates a financial reward. Those three intersect, and where they intersect, you should put your time and energy.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

People are meant to progress and evolve. Meaningful work offers opportunities for bringing out the best in people.
