What's your business, and who are your customers?
We provide Bookkeeping, Tax preparation & Funding services to small business clients.
Tell us about yourself
I started as an accountant at a boutique real estate firm, managing their properties and their sole accounting personnel handling payroll & bookkeeping. Eventually, they started contracting my bookkeeping services to their colleagues, and they were making money off my skill set! I realized my passion for working with small business owners, and I started monetizing my own services, so I began doing taxes for friends and family to earn extra money and started picking up bookkeeping clients throughout the years.
I eventually became a full-time entrepreneur three years into my "side hustle." I enjoy creating & implementing strategies to help small business owners grow profitably. Watching a brand new business grow into a company that's hiring and providing benefits to its employees is an amazing feeling.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have worked with hundreds of business owners, guiding them and educating entrepreneurs to save them thousands of dollars by avoiding mistakes and leading them on the right path to success. Continuously receiving referrals because I have built my brand on transparency and trust is an amazing compliment.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Motivating yourself when business isn't going as planned.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Create a business plan and set goals every six months that are in line with your objective.
- Educate yourself on the important facets of your business: taxes, marketing, industry standards, etc.
- Get a team that is self-motivated and dedicated to the plan - you can't do everything yourself.
