What's your business, and who are your customers?
I specialize in social media marketing, business development, and inner work. As the Founder of Ventura County Business Women, founded in 2018, I've been supporting local businesswomen with personal and professional growth while honoring their humanity and the many roles they play beyond their businesses. I combine my expertise in business and personal development to support businesswomen in creating a life and business that is true to themselves.
Tell us about yourself
As a female entrepreneur, I've always been driven by the question, "How can I grow my business from my deepest alignment?" This curiosity has led me on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, and I've learned a great deal about the power of mindset. Though I have received a traditional education, I credit much of my expertise to being self-taught and thinking outside of the box. As a manifesto by Human Design and a Leo by astrology, I am a soul here to create experiences simply.
I am deeply passionate about empowering other humans to tap into their inner power and create a life and business that is aligned with their souls. My own journey as a business owner has been filled with ups and downs, but I am grateful for the lessons I've learned along the way. In 2021, I had a transformative experience with plant medicine that completely changed my perspective and set me on a new path. Today, I am in a space of power, truth, and alignment. I am here to shift the attention away from things that don't serve us- the distractions we leak our energy into all day that keep us feeling lifeless, joyless, uninspired, and out of the heart.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As a female entrepreneur, my greatest accomplishment has been cultivating unshakable trust in myself and the visions of what my life is meant for. Though I have faced many challenges and seasons of lack, survival, despair, and resentment in my business journey, I have never given up on my dreams. I am resilient in the pursuit of following my soul calling, even when there isn't much evidence that my dreams will work out. This determination has allowed me to build an intimate community of over 1600 local businesswomen, and I am honored to share my story and experiences with them to support them on their own journeys. But honestly, I am just getting started. I am excited to continue building and growing my business, and I am dedicated to supporting other women in achieving their own dreams and goals.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
As a business owner, one of the most challenging aspects of the journey is a mindset. That's why I am so committed to merging inner work with the professional industry. Our relationship with ourselves can make or break a business, and it's crucial that we cultivate a healthy and positive mindset. In the earlier years of my business, I struggled with self-doubt and self-sabotage. Despite my dedication to personal development, I struggled to implement the practices and techniques I was learning to shift my mindset. It wasn't until I had a spiritual upgrade that I realized the importance of taking control of my thoughts and beliefs about myself and the world around me.
I learned that I would never achieve the life of my dreams without shifting my mindset and beliefs about myself and my potential. This realization has driven me to become an advocate for the power of inner work and the role it plays in the success of a business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be mindful of your self-talk and the thoughts you give your focus. Your thoughts have a powerful impact on your reality, so it's important to cultivate a positive and empowering mindset.
- It takes a village. Your environment and close relationships are crucial to the longevity of your business. Surround yourself with people who support your visions and can remind you of your worth and potential when self-doubt creeps in.
- Slow down to go fast. Taking the time to reflect on how you really want to create, navigate, and grow your business will help you streamline your efforts and cut out unnecessary distractions. Many business owners try to follow someone else's roadmap and end up facing a lot of resistance. By slowing down and finding your unique flow, you can experience quantum leaps in your business growth. Forget all the rules of others and create from your own vision.
