What's your business, and who are your customers?
I own a small digital agency (ScarletDigital.io) where I serve the small business community as a web and graphic designer, as well as an online business & project manager.
I also co-own CharlotteMasonInspired.com, where we equip and encourage homeschool parents to follow their calling to home educate their children through a Biblical living education by providing online conferences and resources while connecting them to like-minded parents and today's leaders in the Charlotte Mason community.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a single homeschool mom, and I love spending time and learning alongside my kids. When I started homeschooling 15 years ago, I realized that being around them as they grew into adulthood was my calling. My kids are my greatest motivation. I'm also motivated by helping small business owners and homeschool parents like myself.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Knowing that the majority of all my clients were recommended by past clients. Tells me I'm doing my job well!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Balancing your time and knowing when to say no.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Get out of your comfort zone. Nothing exceptional or even exciting happens when you're too afraid.
- Don't be afraid to fail. The greatest lessons are learned when we realize what can be improved.
- Find an accountability partner, especially if you're the type of person that likes to put things off.

If you have an idea for a business, explore it today. Don't put it off; sometimes, later become never.
