What's your business, and who are your customers?
Tarle Speech provides training for professionals in clear and effective communication. This ranges from pronunciation training for foreign-born English speakers and voice training for women executives to professional speaking and presentation skills classes. Tarle Speech also provides traditional speech and language services to children and adults. We specialize in speech sound disorders such as articulation, apraxia, and phonology. Services are provided at home or at a child's daycare setting.
Tell us about yourself
I started Tarle Speech in 2005 to empower people through better communication. Clear and effective communication is required for success and overall well-being. I aim to help all individuals to meet their highest potential and goals. Client motivation and success motivates me daily!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My greatest accomplishment is, of course, helping people achieve their goals.
I am also very proud of the growth of my YouTube channel, as I can provide free classes to people across the world!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Saying no to clients that aren't a good fit is the toughest. I want to help everyone, but every once in a while, I don't have the skill set to address a client's need. When this happens, I reach out to my network to find a professional with the skills to help the client succeed.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Treat others the way you want to be treated...vendors, clients, employees, etc., everyone!
- Start small but think big - a side hustle is a great place to try out a concept.
- Focus on the people, process, and product.
