What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Pediatric Sleep Coach and Owner of Little Sleeper Solutions. I help tired; stressed-out working parents solve their children's sleep problems.

Tell us about yourself

I have three kiddos. All boys. NONE of them were great sleepers. My last Son, Rhyon, was by far my most difficult. We had many, many sleepless nights. Nights that made me super grouchy come morning. Nights that caused strain on my and my partner's relationship. Nights that even made me question motherhood. Nights that I seriously lost my marbles and questioned my own sanity. We've all been there to some degree.

You'd think by my third child, this sleep thing that I love and cherish so much would come easily for my babies. Nope! I finally decided enough was enough! I knew I couldn't be the only person with kiddos who had sleep struggles. I began researching and looking for solutions. As a family, we desperately needed a change. I needed my sleep back! Low and behold, I found a program that sounded very promising! At the time, finances were super, super tight! After all, I was on maternity leave with no income. With no other option but knowing I desperately needed it, I charged it to my credit card. I quickly implemented it and found immediate success. I was astonished. Why on earth did I do this to myself three times over?! Why didn't I research sooner?! Why was I so hung up over the price?!

I guess we all think, "this stage will end; he'll grow out of it sooner or later," and it never really does, and you just go into survival mode and do what you gotta do to make it through the days and nights.

So many things changed for the better once we were all sleeping restfully through the night. "Cryin' Rhyon" was less "Cryin' Rhyon," I was much happier, and my relationship was once again back on track. Thank God!!! It was at that point I decided I needed to share this program and help other families. Everyone deserves to have the benefits of great sleep.

Over several months, I fully entrenched myself in an extensive "sleep school" program so that I could become a Certified Consultant. In April 2022, I graduated and hit the ground running. It's a wonderful feeling hearing client testimonials after we finish our Custom Sleep Plan. Some are so incredibly thankful and swear you've changed their life!! How cool is that?!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I wholeheartedly know what it's like to hit Motherhood "rock bottom." Had I known about Sleep Training and had a Coach, things might not have been so difficult for me for as long as it was. It gives me so much joy to help families get the sleep they so desperately need. Healthy sleep habits make for healthy children. A well-rested child is curious, energetic, happy, playful, and eager to learn. All families deserve to be healthy, well-rested, and happy!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being a Mompreneur has many, many benefits, but it does require juggling schedules at times! My two oldest boys are very active in soccer. Given the nature of my work, a lot of parents need me after hours or on weekends. Let's just say there's a lot of work done on the soccer field!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Show up as your authentic self. Your vibe attracts your tribe. We attract what we are, not what we want.
  2. With experience comes confidence.
  3. We only have control over two things: beliefs and actions.
