What's your business, and who are your customers?
Tables2bars specializes in unique event rentals that are hand-picked and handmade and provide our clients with the newest trends in the industry to bring their events to the next level. You can find us at weddings, birthdays, corporate events, festivals, showers, or any special occasion.
Tell us about yourself
I was raised by immigrant parents who have worked their whole life to provide us with the best life. My dad came here with nothing and created multiple income streams by starting his own businesses. Being surrounded by his motivation my whole life got me going. Having a husband who also doesn’t believe in a 9-5 but believes you should work towards goals with no limits or hesitations, I had the determination and creativity to be the best version of myself, so one day, I got up and created Tables2bars.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is starting out solo in a small storefront to a 2,800 sqft warehouse in less than a year. I gained the ideal clients for my business needs and wants.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing is making people understand you are only human. No one talks about the stress, anxiety, and mixed emotions of being a business owner with financial and social responsibilities. They look at it from the outside and see you growing and making money but don’t realize the back end of it.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- The first year is the hardest, don’t give up.
- Don’t compare yourself with other businesses. Find out on your own what works and doesn’t work for you.
- Make relationships and network with like-minded people who can help you at your weakest.
