What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is T3 Life Coaching LLC. My customers are amazing women! I work with women who are in need of life coaching services to identify and/or reestablish goals. I work with them in setting SMART goals. I set my clients up for long-term and sustainable success and independence. I work with my clients in leveraging skills and resources that they have while also helping them develop, strategize, and navigate the new. Additionally, I also develop handcrafted trainings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOA) for corporate and not-for-profit entities. I also facilitate workshops, seminars, and trainings. Lastly, I provide consultation services for new and established entities regarding their referral and intake process and service delivery and consultation services for those interested in transitioning into the life coaching industry.
Tell us about yourself
This question always gets me. I started my business because of my work. I’ve worked in social services for years, and I identified that many individuals needed both clinical and non-clinical services to overcome barriers that prevent them from expanding both personally and professionally. I started my business to provide the non-clinical support that many of us so desperately need. My business has transformed to be so much more than I could have ever imagined. What motivates me each day is being to others what I wish I had many moments in my life. I am also a published author of two self-help books, and I have a blog that focuses on health and wellness. Since being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, I have found that my health and wellness has a direct impact on my overall success. I love being able to provide people the skills and resources they need to accomplish their goals, succeed, and grow. It really keeps me going!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Wow! Where do I start? I think my biggest accomplishment is being selected to speak in Paris. I had the amazing opportunity to sow into women of all ages, backgrounds, etc. The impact I made was very apparent. The stories they shared with me let me know that I was just where I was supposed to be.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Honestly, I would have to say dealing with the unknowns. Every day there will be new challenges and obstacles to deal with it. Business is never predictable, so it can be very difficult at times to plan and prepare. I encourage all business owners, new and old, to take the time to get focused and ready for whatever may come.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I love this question!
1. Stay organized! I have found that the more organized I am, the more I get done. Being organized also allows me to think and see more clearly.
2. Learn to be flexible! Things change, and things happen. Having the ability to pivot and position yourself and your business no matter what is huge. This helps when the industry changes or when you’re trying something new. Being flexible will take you so much further than not.
3. Maintain a personal touch. As a life coach, I have found that a personal touch goes a long way. Clients feel more connected when services are tailored to their individual needs. Clients are also more successful when you meet them where they are and develop plans that connect with their personal journey and overall outcomes. I have many that I can share, but these are my top three, and they’ve never failed me.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I want to say that no matter what, keep going! No matter the circumstances, push through! No matter what, you can and will come out on top! You got this!
