Tell us about yourself

I grew up in a household where good health was instilled in us. My parents were always ahead of the curve when it came to health trends and foods. My dad took a trip to Korea back in 2016 to develop this product called hydrogen water. He introduced the idea to me when I picked him up early in the morning from the airport. Immediately, I was hooked on the product and loved the entire concept of it, and truly believed it could make an impact on people's lives and well-being. My partner and I started the company in March 2018. From there, we have been going non-stop to get everyone hip to Susosu Hydrogen Water. What motivates me every day is the satisfaction from our customers - the emails, reviews, etc. I love hearing how our product has made such an impact on their lives, regardless of age, lifestyle, or any other factor. I want to continue building our business and impact millions of people and their health with our product.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The biggest accomplishment as a business owner is being a business owner. I take pride in what I do and the work I put in. I don't take anything for granted, and I love what we're doing as a business and what we're going to do for years to come. The biggest accomplishment will be the legacy I leave and how I'll be able to inspire many people to go get it.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The most difficult but fun part of living this life is solving problems every day. My job description is simple, and it's to look for any holes or problems in the business and solve them. Some issues are a lot more stressful than others, but I love the challenge, and I'm 100% built for this.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Go get it. If you really want something in life, simply go get it.
  2. You should NEVER expect or rely on your friends and family to purchase your product/services. It's a plus if they do but never expect it as you'll never reach a high level of success relying on your friends for revenue.
  3. Time is the most valuable asset. You never know how much you have left, so take full advantage of the hours and even minutes of your days to work efficiently and smart.
