What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is focused on creating and selling natural and holistic wellness products. I carefully source high-quality, organic, and ethically harvested ingredients to create a wide range of handmade products. My customers are health-conscious individuals who prioritize self-care, wellness, and sustainability. They are often seeking natural alternatives to commercial products, and they value the knowledge and expertise that comes with a handmade. I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space where people from diverse backgrounds feel seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to empower and uplift individuals through natural remedies that promote holistic well-being and to create a sense of community and connection among my customers.
Tell us about yourself
I have always been drawn to the healing power of nature and have experienced firsthand the benefits of using natural remedies and handmade products for my own well-being. My motivation comes from seeing the positive impact that my products have on the health and well-being of my customers. Knowing that I am providing them with high-quality, handmade products that are made with care and intention brings me great joy.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I enjoy receiving feedback from my customers about how my products have helped them on their wellness journey, whether it's relieving skin issues, promoting relaxation, or supporting their overall health. It brings me a great sense of accomplishment when I create something that they enjoy.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is managing the various responsibilities and challenges that come with running a business alone. I formulate and create the products, market, pack, and ship, provide customer service, finance, and operating a retail location.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Plan strategically. Before starting your business, create a comprehensive business plan that outlines your goals, target market, marketing strategies, financial projections, and operational processes.
- Build a strong brand. Your brand is more than just a logo or a name – it represents the identity and values of your business. Build a strong brand that resonates with your target audience and represents you.
- Nurture customer relationships. Your customers are the lifeline of your business, and building and maintaining strong customer relationships is important.
- Network and seek support. Surround yourself with a supportive community of fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, and business professionals.
