What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a micro gym that provides small-group training. We primarily cater to fitness enthusiasts who want to remain athletic for life but also provide team training for youth and adult athletes as well.
Tell us about yourself
I’ve been teaching fitness classes since I was 21, but I was always hesitant to pursue it full-time because I knew how hard the industry could be. But 5 years ago, I jumped into it, and then there was no going back. It’s extremely rewarding to help people grow and explore their potential every day. Our goal is to promote a culture and community that fosters health, well-being, and confidence through the joys and challenges of movement.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our business just celebrated its tenth anniversary at the beginning of 2023, and we consider that to be a huge accomplishment. Especially with several years of that being during an unprecedented time for businesses (the pandemic).
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Trying to make sure that you’re focused enough on finances that you can continue to do your work worry-free and help as many people as possible.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Surround yourself with good people. You’re only as strong as the people around you.
- Give as much of yourself as you can. You’ll never regret helping or being there for someone when they need it.
- It doesn’t have to be perfect.
