What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is Pilates. I teach a wide range of people from their early 40s to 80s.
Tell us about yourself
Since I was a child, movement from outdoor activities to dance has influenced my career to become a Pilates teacher. I approached movement as a form of healing and joy. Each day I come into the studio, I feel the energy of healing and joy influence my clients. My intention is to help myself and others to live a more embodied, productive, and meaningful life!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
First and foremost, I think it’s a great accomplishment to love what I do and continue growing in the field of movement. Uncover all the weak links and become whole. Also, I have a beautiful studio, and I never take for granted this inspiring space!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I think this business is easy to run. I’m grateful for that. I think the hardest thing is to charge what I think I’m worth. I want to make more money!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Know someone in the business who inspired you and copy them.
- Be well-educated and trained in what you do.
- Do what you love, and people will be attracted.
