Studio Kinetics is a Pilates Movement Studio utilizing state-of-the-art Balanced Body Equipment. Our goal is to provide the best instruction for all ages and levels in our group equipment classes, specialized classes and/or private or duet sessions. We believe in the true philosophy of Joseph Pilates and the benefits it provides, such as improves body alignment/posture, improving muscle imbalances and sports performance, strengthening conditions, and connects the whole body without bulk, increasing flexibility, strengthening the core, maintaining healthy bone density, increases energy and circulation, prevents injury, rebuilds, and improves mind-body awareness and balance. Our clientele range from professional athletes to anyone interested or improving fitness, health, overall well-being, Golfers or any specialized sport, and/or recovering from injury. We are proud of having worked with NFL players, Olympic Sprinters, Gymnast, and Baseball Players to novice clientele. We believe Movement is Medicine, and our instructors will do their very best to design personal regimes and help make a lifestyle change for you.

Tell us about yourself

After closing my successful Pilates/Dance business in Texas to move to Carefree, Arizona, in 2017, I struggled to figure out how I would begin again to share my passion for movement. As a previous Professional Dancer, Educator, Choreographer, and Pilates Instructor, I was very involved with the community. Having the business and starting anew seemed daunting.

Then one day, a friend mentioned she had recently been through a lumbar spine fusion. I asked if she would give me the opportunity to help her move again to gain confidence to be able to do the things she wanted in her young life. Dedication, commitment, and precision to her Pilates journey started my business journey in 2019 from my home garage to the Mariachi Plaza in the basement under Brix Wine, then upstairs by Puppy Luv Thrift store to my current location across the parking lot in a bigger space by Carefree Coffee. I am the instructor/owner and am proud to be able to do what I love, share my passion with the community, and get inspired every day by my clients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is keeping the authentic teachings of Joseph Pilates, along with fusing my dance background and other modalities to provide the best for anyone who walks through my door. I am a very dedicated, committed, and passionate professional. I have had the honor to work with a variety of ages, levels, and physical fitness situations that have all been successes. I feel blessed that my community has embraced my "performing artist" energy, my creative ways, and my detailed focused work to make lifestyles changes for anyone. My doors are open six days a week because of my Studio Kinetics family/Clients. I would love more people to be a part of our energizing, fun, motivating, and committed family.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest part about being a business owner and instructor is the long hours that are mental and physical for me. Each person is unique, and their need doesn't always follow the classical Pilates regime, so my job is to watch every move, every joint, every muscle, ask questions, create hard or therapeutic exercises, and/or specific movement that best fits what they need. Also, I give a little homework so my clients can benefit quicker from work. This is not as easy to do, but at the same time, I am thankful for all the challenges. I feel the many certifications, licenses, professional dance background, and over 20years of experience have helped me tremendously provide more to my clients. Having a business is draining but has so many rewards.
