Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in financial education but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Ryan Monoski, CEO of Stock Moe LLC, located in Pennsylvania, PA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Stock Moe LLC is a financial education corporation dedicated to helping average retail investors reach financial freedom and generational wealth. We educate about stocks, crypto, economics, and historical financial data via YouTube and social media.

Tell us about yourself

I am a former financial adviser turned educator of college and high school business classes. While I was still teaching, I led my students to two national championships and fifteen state championships in the Stock Market Game. My students had always encouraged me to start a YouTube channel. One day, I ran into a former student who had started his own channel, and he talked me into starting mine. I am motivated each day to share financial education with the world. I want to break the cycle of poverty and allow people to take control of their own finances. I, myself, come from a very humble background, so I am very familiar with the struggles of the average retail investor. Promoting financial literacy has always been very important to me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is my global classroom. My channel now reaches hundreds of thousands of people in 182 of 195 countries in the world, with 68 million lifetime views.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the toughest things about being a business owner in this niche is not being able to form a personal connection with each and every person on the other side of the screen. I enjoy fostering relationships with my community very much, and my subscribers and followers are my second family. However, gathering us all for a big family reunion would be next to impossible. :) I think another difficulty in this business is work and home balance. When you love what you do, you find yourself putting your heart into your work, but it is also important to take time for other things.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Become a master at something and surround yourself with people who are masters at other things that you are not. Together you will bring your business to greatness.
  2. Make a commitment to the business for a certain amount of time. I had committed to two videos a day for an entire year.
  3. Never stop learning.
