Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Staci Guillot, Founder of The Creative Wellness Collaborative LLC, located in San Antonio, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a nutritionist and certified health coach specializing in injury and chronic illness recovery and prevention. I currently provide private, 1:1 coaching for my clients that is tailored to their goals and desired outcomes. I am my clients' biggest supporter and confidant. I help them set realistic goals, implement stress-management techniques, provide accountability, and provide practical nutrition education and movement guidance that bring back the basics of healthy living.

Tell us about yourself

I spent two decades in the military, a large part of that included my health journey after some health complications. I used the experience and knowledge I gained through my own journey, as well as my formal education, to help others bounce back after dealing with health-related issues. Once I retired from my active duty service, the idea of The Creative Wellness Collaborative LLC was born. I created my business to provide personalized nutrition and health coaching to anyone who wants to reduce their risk for chronic illness and live their happiest and healthiest life!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is seeing my clients achieve their goals and how much they grow and thrive throughout my time with them. Having the courage to start over with a new career in my 40s and have it benefit others in the way I hoped it would, fills my cup!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being a business owner definitely has its challenges. I not only help clients but also run all other aspects of my business as a sole member. However, with that said, it has been worth it to learn the ins and outs of running a business that allows me the freedom to help clients in the best way I can. It is absolutely rewarding when a client tells me how much they have grown and how much better they feel, which is what it's all about.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

My first tip to anyone looking to start a business would be to just do it! Believe in yourself and believe that what you have to offer is valuable because it is.

My second tip would be to avoid comparing your success to anyone else's. There will be rough days, but there will also be many great days too. No one starts at the top. Keep on keeping on, and you'll achieve your goals.

My third tip is to not be afraid to do the work. You will get out what you put in. Don't be afraid of rejection. Instead, accept it and learn from it. It will make you stronger in the long run and will most likely provide valuable life lessons that only experience can provide.
