What's your business, and who are your customers?
A Fine Balance Healthcare is a business providing acupuncture for many different health issues. From pain management to stress, headaches, allergies, and hormonal imbalances, acupuncture can help. Clients include men, women, and children of various ages experiencing pain or other health concerns.
Tell us about yourself
I've always been interested in Health care. I studied nursing, anatomy, and biology before entering the Chinese medicine program. Helping people brings me happiness. It's fulfilling to know I can make such a big difference in people's lives. I get to know my clients and look forward to seeing them every session. I love the outdoors, hiking, gardening, and camping with my family. My favorite hobbies are eating well, trying new recipes, creating, and crafting.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is creating a thriving practice that I truly enjoy.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
My biggest challenge with being a business owner was the start-up. I started practicing acupuncture 20 years ago. It was not a well-known health modality. I had to inform and educate every client and other health care practitioner as to the benefits of acupuncture. Establishing new clients was a challenge but well worth it!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Love what you do.
- Start your business with the end goal in mind and have a plan.
- Educate yourself on effective marketing.
