What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a health coach that helps women find natural and holistic solutions to their PMS and period symptoms. You know the symptoms I'm talking about... the annoying cramps, acne, aches, emotional rollercoasters (ETC) that rise up every month and then disappear as if they were never here, leaving everyone feeling a bit confused, discouraged, and out of themselves. I help these women reconnect to their menstrual cycle physically (for great hormonal balance) and emotionally (for radiant feminine energy). This way, women can feel at peace in their bodies, knowing they are always themselves and empowered every day of their monthly cycle. This beautiful work is available to any woman who is tired of having a chaotic period and wants to finally experience it as another nice week of the month (for a change!).

Tell us about yourself

My own journey with my hormones was a little hectic, to say the least. I had no guidance whatsoever and lived my life the way I thought every woman had to: pushing through the discomfort and making it seem like I had it all under control.

The awakening I felt when I discovered that none of my symptoms had to carry on forever was one of the biggest I had ever experienced. Suddenly, hopes and possibilities of a life where I could do what I wanted and feel the way I wanted were becoming available to me. And it's honestly what keeps me motivated each day. Can you imagine a world in which women don't have to worry about their periods or hormones? What could be done instead of crying in pain in bed? The answer is: SO MUCH!

Balancing my hormones naturally changed my life and allowed me to redefine my relationships with myself, my work, and others. Because of that radical transformation, I decided to carry that message along with me and help other women experience the same. If I can have a painless cycle, why would I not want to help others have the same?

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My absolute favorite part of my job is educating women on their cycle. I get to teach things that spark so many aha moments, and I get to see the look of awe on their faces as they realize that there is a pretty simple solution for them. I remember one woman once telling me that even though she was past 30 years old, nobody had ever told her these things. My biggest accomplishment is uncovering the reality of a healthy hormonal cycle lived in full empowerment and radiance, one woman at the time.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I think that one of the biggest challenges of being a business owner is being okay with the idea that every client in front of you is a reflection of you somehow. Often, their challenges are related to my challenges, and the work we do together is dual. It's not just me impacting their lives, but them impacting me as well. It is a really beautiful work, but it's also very humbling because it keeps reminding me that there is no way I can have it all figured out. I still need to learn, and my clients will be my greatest teachers. So the hard lesson is: keep perfectionism at bay. It prevents the transformation from happening in your client's life.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

My first tip would be to work on your mindset as much as you work on your business strategy. Ask yourself how would "CEO me" handle this? There are infinite strategies out there, but none of them will work without the right mind to it. It takes alignment in your heart and in your actions for things to flourish.

My second tip would be to get accountability partners. Whether it's a coach or other entrepreneurs, it's so important to have other people who can listen to you and understand you! You can bounce off their ideas, challenges, lessons, and support. This is truly how we grow as individuals: in a community. I think our businesses need community just as much as we do as individuals.

And my final tip would be: lead with pleasure. If you're having fun, others will too, and they will follow you wherever you go. We all crave a simple and joyful life, and if you can have a pleasurable and simple business, you are way ahead of the game. You've already achieved what most business owners strive to achieve.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

One of the biggest tips I give my clients, which I think applies to business as well, is to trust yourself. Even though you may not have all the information or resources yet, you definitely already have what it takes to find a solution. Most answers to your obstacles are already here, and they're not as complicated as it seems. It just takes some self-trust and willingness to listen to yourself. It can be scary, but it's so worth it.
