Sperling Interactive is a digital marketing firm located in Salem, MA. We help businesses across all industries with their marketing needs.

Tell us about yourself

I first started the business 15 years ago, ad I saw an opportunity in my local area to help small businesses with their marketing needs. I love going to work every day and seeing what we can accomplish to help our clients grow.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We recently appeared for the first time on the Inc 5000 list as one of the 5000 fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is balancing your time. I find this with how to balance time between tasks at work but also balancing the time I put into my work with my personal life.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. There is no substitution for hard work. Owning a business can be tiring and rewarding, but if you don't put in the time, then you decrease your odds of success.
  2. Lead with empathy. This is something that I wish more business owners would do. Employees and your customers deserve to be treated with kindness and understanding.
  3. Never Stop Evolving. We live in an environment where it is important to stay on top of the market and evolve quickly. It is important to understand the advancements in your industry and adopt them.
