What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is boxing fitness; my customers are anyone looking to get in shape, drop a few pounds and have fun while doing it.
Tell us about yourself
I started watching boxing in high school, had my first fight in 1991, and have been involved with it ever since. The sport itself motivates me; it's the only sport I really enjoy doing regularly.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Just opening the doors to my gym was amazing! I couldn't have done it without a few close friends that helped me get it started.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Probably not getting a steady check & insurance; it's a huge risk, taking a lot of chances. It was all worth it, you just have to keep plugging away at the goal, and you can get there.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Try and make a plan and stick to it.
- Make it about your customers; they are the one's paying the bills.
- Give it time, and be patient.
