What's your business, and who are your customers?
Soully for You, LLC was created to bring a little magic to your everyday life by elevating your self-care rituals. We use plant-based, non-toxic ingredients in our self-care essentials, from our hand-poured coconut soy wax candles to our natural soaps. We also offer BYOB Candle Making Workshops. It doesn't get much better than wine and candles, haha. Perfect for girls' nights, birthdays, or bridal showers.
Tell us about yourself
I started hand-making my family's body care products about four years ago when my son would react to even the most "sensitive" lotions. After reading the ingredients list, I took matters into my own hands. Fast forward to 1 year later, and I used my knowledge to create body care products that were not only physically good for you but spiritually. As moms, it's hard to pour into ourselves, and I found that my alone time in the shower with all my natural handmade goodies helped me take care of myself and even boosted my self-confidence. Now add some candles, and it's literally really lit. I'm motivated every day by all the mommas out there that deserve a little extra pampering.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is acquiring my new space located at 76 N Main St. Southington, CT. It's always been a dream of mine to have a space where women can come together, have a good time, and promote self-care and healing.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is honestly putting myself out there and sharing my story. I'm naturally an introvert, so that's a little rough for me, but of course, I am working on it.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Authenticity always wins.
- Plan and organize EVERYTHING! I'm a messy creative, but that does not help when you are running a business. Organize everything and plan accordingly.
- Keep dreaming, don't give up!
