What's your business, and who are your customers?

Soul Body Evolution assists people in living their best lives through intuitive readings, energetic balancing, massage therapy, Spiritual life coaching, yoga, and meditation. My customers are those who are drawn to deepening the ever-present connection with their spiritual self, going beyond who they think they are in order to truly befriend their own Soul and fully integrate that aspect of self into their daily lives. Relax, it's fun!

Tell us about yourself

I first started my business in 2007 when I became a Certified Massage Therapist. I was drawn to practicing bodywork through witnessing my mother's experience of becoming a CMT, Reflexologist, and Reiki Master as a kid and then recognizing my own natural affinity for it. Since then, I've expanded my bodywork practice by adding Reiki and other energetic healing techniques, getting certified to teach yoga and meditation, and becoming a certified life coach.

My business is fueled by the devotion I have to facilitate people in rediscovering their joy for life and the ease that comes with truly knowing the Self. I believe wholeheartedly in the connection of Body, Mind, and Soul and that through balancing these aspects and by choosing to live consciously and joyously, we heal ourselves and the world around us.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I'd say my biggest accomplishment has been allowing for the progressive unfoldment of my journey. Instead of constantly trying to get more or get bigger, I have really trusted that I'm always right where I'm meant to be, doing exactly what I'm meant to be doing and receiving all that I require to live my life fully and with joy!

Through maintaining my own deep Spiritual practice, I am able to speak to this trust and honoring of one's process in my interactions with clients. This has provided the most fulfilling aspects of my working life. I am beyond grateful every day!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing about being a business owner (especially in the field of Intuitive healing and spiritual work) is not getting caught up in what we think we should be and really being true to ourselves and the path that we are meant to take.

Too often, I see people pushing a brand that doesn't match who they really are. It's challenging to stay grounded and centered in this world of social media likes and follows. It's so important to stay in alignment with who we are at a soul level and what our mission is so that the people we are meant to help are drawn to us.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Prioritize self-care every day! It's so easy to get caught up in the daily checklists, scheduling, and working with clients. You have to have a healthy mind, body, and Spirit to be at your best for your business.
  2. Have Patience! My business has gone through many different cycles, and the more I can be present and trust at the moment, the easier it is to navigate the changes that inevitably come.
  3. Practice gratitude! For all that you have now and all that you will be given in the future.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

The most important thing we can do for ourselves and those we love is to awaken to the truth of who we are. When we are in alignment with that truth, life becomes a joyous adventure!
