Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Solange Zindzi, Glow-getter Expert based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My name is Solange Zindzi, and I am a certified life and mindset coach, passionate dancer, model, author, speaker, glow-getter expert, and a woman with a big vision who helps dreamers become glow-getters. I help people with explicit dreams create incredible transformations in their lives! My customers are people who have a clear idea, desire, or dream for their lives but are struggling to figure out how to get there. Within this phase, I jump in as a coach, and I help people break through their own limiting beliefs and get them in alignment with who they truly are.

I truly know how confusing it all could feel to try to figure it all out on your own, and I know a lot more people are suffering while paving the way for their unique life journey. Therefore, I feel so dedicated to teaching others how to shift their own reality to a more supportive one, so they feel confident enough to aim for the sky! I have found the formula to make these transformations solid, and I feel at my core that it’s my purpose to spread the message to as many people as I can! Besides my coaching business, I am the author of my book, Solo Jump, published in 2020.

SOLO JUMP is about learning to trust yourself and discovering you had the powers and answers inside of you all along. My story and life tools are shared within this book, and it isn’t written to impress you but to inspire you so you, too, feel empowered to follow your own heart!

Tell us about yourself

I was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, which is where I started dreaming from a very young age about becoming a dancer and began early on to work towards my big "impossible" desires. As a child, I was a little shy, yet I loved the attention and was highly sensitive and super active. Already, ahead of time, I enjoyed helping others, liked putting smiles on people’s faces, and lived to build connections with all sorts of people of all races and ages. I often felt a little different because I frequently chose roads that weren’t very common or normal. But what’s normal anyway? Normal shouldn’t be seen as normal if that’s not in alignment with who you truly are, right?

This is why I learned from a young age to tune in to my own needs and practiced listening less to outside noises. Therefore, I focused on my own inner voice and learned how to trust my inner compass to show me (or, better said, lead me) the way. Over time, I evolved into a courageous and curious woman who is very grounded and straightforward yet super intuitive and not afraid of the unknown. I think big, make choices from the heart and am intrinsically driven to make the most of life.

My dancing career compasses concerts, award shows, festivals, video clips, live theater, diner shows, television work, and cruise entertainment, and I toured for 1 1⁄2 years as a dancer on a World tour for the Latin Icon Award Winner ‘Chayanne.’ Besides this, I have worked with artists including P. Diddy, Arcangel, Ozuna, Maluma, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, and Natalie La Rose and cooperated with brands like Target, Reebok, Marie Claire, Women’s Health Magazine, Champion, Athlete's Foot, Google LCC, and Kett’s Cosmetics.

I always try to live my life to the fullest. During the pandemic/lockdown, I was thrown back on myself quite a bit. My life took a 180-degree turn. This led me to feel very motivated and inspired to continue learning and obtain certificates in the field of life and mindset coaching, as a result of establishing my own Coaching Business. I love my work; it is an expansion of my personality, which is why work barely ever feels like work for me!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I feel like my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is a life I have built for myself. I continue to make my (new) dreams happen, and I know my life is an inspiration to many. I love how my personality, energy, and life choices represent my business in the best way possible. Knowing my life's choices have an inspirational ripple effect on others is one of the most satisfying feelings.

Realizing my words and energy can heal, empower, and humble others is something I'm most proud of. I don't like to put myself in a box, but I have to say I walk around proudly, knowing I have resonated with so many "labels" during this lifetime. From dancer to the author, mindset coach to motivational speaker, and so many more—this is not something I thought would happen this early in my life.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

You're always on. Even when I'm not working, I'm working... I'm constantly digesting life's information and experiences. As an entrepreneur, you're always anticipating the next steps, which means there's a constant movement happening inside your head but also inside your life. Becoming a business owner means that nobody is telling you what to do besides what you tell yourself has to be done. Entrepreneurs truly need to be fully dedicated to making sure they're almost always five steps ahead of themselves, and this can sometimes be challenging as you don't always have a clear idea of what you actually should be doing.

I feel like I'm truly constantly learning along the way and discovering new things on a daily. There is not one clear path to follow in this industry. What may work for others might not work for you, but the only way to figure out what works best for you is by daring yourself to take that leap into the unknown and to trust yourself fully, knowing you're capable of figuring it all out along the way. It can be a challenging journey, but it's also a very satisfying one when things turn out amazing.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. SOLO JUMP THROUGH LIFE! (take that leap of faith!) Take that leap, trust your gut and learn along the way.
  2. You don't need to know it all to do it all. But it's important to figure out your own strengths and weaknesses, so you can get help where needed.
  3. Be authentic, and don't be afraid to live on the edge. In the end, that's where the best view is anyway!
