What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a gourmet popcorn factory specializing in over 50 flavors of popcorn and gourmet nuts. Our customers are both individuals and companies.

Tell us about yourself

Coming from the midwest, I have always been a fan of popcorn. When I moved to Texas a few years ago, I noticed there were not many gourmet popcorn shops nearby. This is what sparked the inspiration for Snacktime Express.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment was scaling my business from a 900-square-foot facility to a 2,500-square-foot facility. Growth during a pandemic was challenging, but thanks to the popularity of our product and the support of our customers, it was all made possible.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing I learned as a business owner was how to establish a work-life balance. Starting out requires long hours and long days. One must delegate and put a system in place to achieve balance.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find something you love and enjoy.
  2. Research on how to take what you love and enjoy can be economically viable.
  3. Create a plan and implement it. Plan your work and work your plan.
