Tell us about yourself

I remind people that for less than a cup of your coffee in the morning, you can change a child's life in Africa. I began in this business by seeing how little is needed to transform another person's life. An act of giving something very small can bring a dramatic change.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Opening East & Central Africa's 1st public children's hospital; an act that was started by four donations totaling $400.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Knowing there are not eight days in every week, or nine!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Make sure there is demand for what you do, make sure you talk to as many people as possible who have done similar works and concentrate on one project; if people sense you are all in for one entity, they are more likely to buy into your dream.

What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance?

Giving myself 40 minutes every day to go for a jog clears my mind and creates my ideas.
