What's your business, and who are your customers?
I provide solutions to infant, baby, and toddler sleep issues, helping parents to get their little ones sleeping through the night.
Tell us about yourself
My firstborn son was a terrible sleeper, and after experiencing the effects of sleep deprivation and seeing the effects it was having on my child, my marriage, and me personally, I took action and developed a system to solve the problem. It worked so well I was inspired to help other parents do the same, and after seeing the positive impact it had on their families, I decided not to return to my teaching job and began coaching families full-time.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Helping over 100,000 families solve an enormous problem and allowing them to get the sleep they need in order to enjoy the adventure of parenthood.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Being fully responsible for the company. That has many perks, but it also means you can't really ever fully step away. It's a bit like being on call 24/7, and you have to create some really strong boundaries for yourself, or it can be all-consuming.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find something you have a passion for because, without that, it will be very hard to maintain your dedication.
- Find people who will support you, even if it's just to cheer you on.
- Invest early in coaching or business mentorship. It's the best way to learn the things you don't know.
