Tell us all about your business...

Tessa Naturals is a family run business that prides itself on quality and affordability. We sell to customers from over 50 countries online through our website and Amazon. Tessa Naturals started with the dream of providing affordable premium skincare that can be enjoyed by all regardless of age, gender, or previous skincare knowledge. Here at Tessa Naturals we strive to build a strong community with all of our customers and form meaningful relationships with our customers.

What's your background and motivation to grow as a business owner?

I have always been fascinated by helping people and wanted to make an impact on people worldwide. Seeing the amount of time, money, and care people put into their daily skincare routines, really inspired me to learn more about skin care. As I continued to immerse myself in the industry, I was struck with the harsh reality that most of skincare products used today are made with harsh chemicals and can have long-term consequences. I wanted to make products that were affordable, high quality, and are easy to use.

As Tessa Naturals continues to grow, my two passions have begun to mesh together. As an aspiring doctor, my focus has honed in on skincare. Now more than ever I am motivated to research innovative skincare techniques to help our Tessa Naturals' community achieve their skincare goals.

As an entrepreneur, what does success ultimately mean to you?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is receiving daily feedback from my customers hearing about how my products have changed their lives. From having more confidence in the workplace to reducing life-long acne. These heart-felt reviews and messages are a testament to the hard work we do at Tessa Naturals.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being an entrepreneur?

As a business owner you have to learn to roll with the punches. It will rarely ever be smooth sailing, so you have to learn to adapt to ever-changing environments. Always look to innovate and stay ahead of the pack and look for creative solutions to problems. There has been many times when the hurdles have seemed too big to overcome, but as you continue to chip away at them day by day, mountains become molehills.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a small business today?

1. Start. Don't wait, the best way to learn is to get your hands dirty.

2. Consistency. There will be times when you hit a road block, but it's important to remain consistent and persistent to overcome these challenges.

3. Ask for help. Always look to gain knowledge from those around you and keep an open mind.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Look to add value to people's lives. When you can accomplish that, everything else begins to fall in place.
