What's your business, and who are your customers?
Six Figure Spa Chick is the number one marketing firm for spa professionals. We support estheticians and nurses to open/operate successful spas with unorthodox marketing strategies to stay in business for the long term.
Tell us about yourself
I went to a massage therapy school in 2010. I love this industry so much. My first claim to fame was Groupon. I started helping other spa pros earn six figures with Groupon. I turned it into a full business Six Figure Spa Chick back in 2016. I once was really broke, and I never wanted to return there, so old struggle memories keep me super motivated to work and be a high performer.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is helping 20-plus other spa pros earn their first million dollars as business owners.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest is work/life balance. Often, work takes over our lives. We don’t have time for family or friends. I finally created a great balance so I could enjoy both each month.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Establish business credit early, so it’s available when you need it.
- Create policies, contracts, SOP, and NDA to ensure everyone understands the assignment at your company.
- All service-based providers should have a product so you are not trading all your time for money.
