Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in arts & crafts but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Amy Tomasko, Owner of Sisters' Sunflowers, located in Bangor, PA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I create unique sticker designs for water bottles or laptops. These inspire a life of adventure, travel, and local love. My customers are adventurous, outdoorsy people.

Tell us about yourself

I started because I realized some of my favorite local places didn't have stickers that I could rep! There are so many places out there, and Black Moshannon is one of my favorites, so I started with that park, and I've been growing ever since!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My website! It always shocks people when I tell them I made it! I'm a coding nerd! (:

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Just keeping track of things. I've got so many different lists. It's hard to keep up with the day-to-day, but you figure it out as you go.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The first one is "Start." It's the best thing I've ever done. And you'll only improve as you go on.

The second is to start a separate bank account ASAP. That way, it's easier to track your accounts.

The third is to make sure you keep having fun with it! Only force things if they feel quite right. Trust your gut.
