What's your business, and who are your customers?
Simplybyelegance is an online shop that sells Gemstone Stretch Bracelets, European Charm Bracelets, Candles & More. Our Gemstone and Charm Bracelets come in various colors and elegant designs such as boho, earthy, chakra, healing stones, Murano glass beads, and more. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality gemstones for our jewelry, healing tumbled stones and our Sage Cleansing kits that help stimulate the body's natural healing process, bringing balance, positivity, and clarity spiritually and physically. Our customers of all ages are people who are into spiritual healing and have a love for beaded and charm jewelry.
Tell us about yourself
As a child, my godmother did all different arts and crafts. I always had a passion for working with beads, lanyards, charms, etc. Then my daughter was born, and it was something I introduced her to, and she loved it! My daughter is the one who actually convinced me to create my designs and share them with others. I received great feedback, and it motivated me to keep going and keep creating.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I think my biggest accomplishment was actually just doing it, putting fear aside, finally receiving our LLC, and seeing Simplybyelegance's website up and running. When you're a small business owner, you are always going to run into the next big accomplishment. The room for growth has no ceiling. I had to learn not to doubt myself because the ups and downs come along with the journey to success.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is the amount of work and time you have to put in. Your mind is always busy creating more appealing, original designs, marketing, promoting, and socially engaging with others. But what I am grateful for is the support of my family. They help keep me grounded.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find your passion, strengths, likes, and dislikes.
- Create a business plan: What you want to sell, where you want to sell, and to whom you want to sell.
- Always ask questions.
- Don't hold back. Just go for it and follow your heart. Fear is never an option.
