What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am an Executive Producer, Speaker & Life Coach. I help Entrepreneurs, celebrities & world class leaders become the elevated version of themselves and leverage their Story to build a Business that Impacts the World!

Tell us about yourself

It all started for me when I was laid off from my corporate job a few years ago. I had no money saved up, my husband and I were separated, I was facing severe depression & suicidal thoughts were racing through my mind. I remember sitting downstairs on my living room floor, ready for it all to end. Then I heard a quiet. Still, the voice says, "Your Gift Will Make Room For You." I had no idea what this meant, what it would look like, or where to even begin. It was at this moment that I had reached rock bottom. This is where my Entrepreneurial journey began. I came into the world of entrepreneurship as an undereducated black woman with NO experience as a self-guided leader. Somehow (through prayer, mediation & gratitude), I was able to find the strength to dream again.

I started following my passion and what I loved to do, and within 12 months, I had built a Global brand, Divas in the kitchen, LLC, a live cooking show that traveled around the world and was delegated to women all over the globe to wine, dine & relax while learning to cook with style! I noticed at these events that the conversations got a lot deeper than I expected. A lot of Women were suffering in silence, suffering with intimacy in their relationships, and would always ask me about my Story was. How was I able to go from being a young single mother on welfare to creating this Global Movement that's impacting the lives of Women all over the World? This was when it dawned on me that the calling in my life was much bigger than mine.

This is what that quiet, still voice meant. Now it all began to make sense to me. As a young girl, I would envision myself speaking to a crowd of people (just playing around) and acting like I was a teacher or speaker, not even realizing that this is how my life was unfolding, and I am now manifesting the very seed that had planted as a child. It's funny how life comes full circle. So, I started sharing my story, and I set out on a quest to empower, inspire, and impact the lives of women and leaders around the world by helping them find their voice and become the elevated version of themselves in their lives, careers/businesses.

Rock bottom became the foundation on which I built my Empire. I have transformed my own personal and professional life by embracing my calling to teach, coach, heal and lead on purpose! When I let my voice be heard, it gives you permission to let your voice be heard this is what motivates me daily!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment to date is my TV Show- which reaches over 300 million viewers across multiple streaming networks! I always wanted to be a world changer, and what better way than to leverage my Gifts via mass media.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a Business Owner is the sacrifices you have to make when you first start, which most would never understand. When I first started my business, there were literally times that I had to decide between paying my website or my light bill. But because I knew that I could get the lights extended, I paid the website so my business would continue. With hard work and dedication, I am finally living the lifestyle of Freedom that I always imagined, but it wasn't always this way. Sometimes you have to go hard for a Vision that no one can see but you!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be crystal clear on what you want & the end goal (your Vision).
  2. Learn how to surrender & trust yourself. Your inner being will never steer you wrong.
  3. Set boundaries and create habits that are aligned with your mission.
And if I could add anything else, I feel that hiring a Coach and/or Mentor is detrimental to your success! I truly believe that we all could utilize the support & accountability from someone who is already where we desire to be.
