What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a real estate investor and teach other women how to invest in real estate too. I love to help women find their niche in real estate investing and become successful at it.
Tell us about yourself
I married young and, after nearly ten years together, was tragically widowed at the young age of 25. By 26, I decided to dive headfirst into real estate investing only because that was my first husband's desire. Turned out to be my passion, too, and I loved everything about it.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
At first, finding success in a male-dominated business was the answer, but that was 25+ years ago now. Today, my biggest accomplishment is getting to help others find success too.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing would be having to be responsible for absolutely everything in your business. Even if you delegate, you are the leader and ultimately in charge.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Take your time to plan, plan and plan. Seek tons of wise counsel from experts who have already succeeded before you. Get a mentor and join masterminds - relationships are key!
