What's your business, and who are your customers?
Team Kat & Mouse are Fundraising consultants for nonprofits. We focus on raising nonprofit organizations' capacity through Training, Tactics, and Tools so they can hit the grown running!
Tell us about yourself
I spent my first career in Media, where like the nonprofit world, there is no time or commitment to training. The average Fundraiser stays in a job for 14 months-they leave and often abandons their passion and career in nonprofit work. Team Kat & Mouse is committed to helping Nonprofits create tactics to grow their fundraising and then teach and coach their teams toward expertise in those tactics. We then create tools to help Nonprofits stay on track and have sustainable success.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The fact that our client partners renew with us. This helps us to know we have helped them help the people they serve through newly raised funds.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The rollercoaster!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be patient and impatient at the same time.
- Find people to work with that complement your skills.
