What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is in Pharmacy retail with specialty services in diabetic, home healthcare, oncology, and palliative care. We have a diverse customer base, as we are located in a multicultural hub in Brampton! Readers should support our business because we are a local/ independent pharmacy that has been serving our community in Brampton since 1986. We are community-driven, that specializes in comprehensive care, and we also collaborate with allied health care workers!
Tell us about yourself
The main thing that motivated me to start my own business was to change the face of health care. I wanted to focus on the mentality that every patient is not a transaction but concentrates on their individual needs. I also wanted to help others with health care wellness, put more attention on supporting the community, and to be a resource for patients and allied health care. In summary, I wanted to create and maintain the legacy of Queen Lynch!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I feel like the biggest accomplishment as a business owner, was finding the balance between my profession and running a fully independent business. With this in mind, I was able to receive an award as the Pharmacist of the Year in 2014!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that come when running a Pharmacy is losing patients you have shared their health journey with. You become familiar and attached to many faithful patients that become almost like family.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be honest!
- Become an active listener.
- Always service your customer needs.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Due to COVID19, we all have looked at life differently, and it definitely has been tough. But through all of this adversity, I still feel like we are all still connected. We need to continue taking care of ourselves and to try to be the very best we can be!
