What's your business, and who are your customers?
Self-Love Healing Arts Institute provides holistic healthcare and wellness services that align with the complementary and alternative treatment modalities. We provide holistic health wellness plans that cover the six dimensions of wellness (Physical, Social, Emotional, Mental, Occupation, and Spiritual) to assess and determine where clients will benefit from the center's services. Those services include Meditation Class, Energy Medicine - Reiki, Herb Clinic/Remedies, Yoga & breath worker instruction, Holistic Healthcare coaching, and Metaphysical Counseling (Spiritual Counseling).
Self-Love Healing Arts Institue also provides an educational environment where students can learn the art of energy medicine, herbalism, homeopathy, and coaching. The candidate will become Certified Professional, and those who meet the requirement can become Board Certified in that discipline.
Tell us about yourself
I am Dr. Jericho Leftwich, a Professor of Health Science - BS. Health & Wellness, BS. Public Health, Master of Public Health Program for Purdue University Global. I am a Board Certified (BC) Doctor of Nature Medicine, BC- Holistic Health Practitioner, BC- Homeopathic Practitioner, Certified. Master Herbalist, Certified Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, a Metaphysician, and the youngest and the first African American Board Member for the American Association of Natural Wellness Practitioners.
What motivates me each day is the drive to help people become the best versions of themselves. To help them break out of toxic cycles and live a wholism and productive life. Self-Love Healing Arts understand that every client is different, and thus, every client should have a variety of resources that can help assist them in becoming the best version of themselves. Self-Love Healing arts will provide the tools and the professional resources to help guide you.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment thus far is starting a black-owned private Holistic Health Care Practice.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I believe one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is that you are constantly working. When working for an employer, you have a sense of security as you know that once you complete your 40 hours, you will have a check deposited in your account. As a business owner, you are in charge of marketing yourself and your services, which requires dedication, sacrifice, and consistency to achieve your business goals.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
