Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Christina Wooten, CEO of Sedona Medium, LLC., located in Sedona, AZ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help people access the wisdom of the Spirit World to elevate their life. My clients come to me for my work as a Certified Psychic Medium and an Intuition Teacher.

My customers are often people who have lost loved ones and want validation that their loved one is around and still connected with them. Others find me when they are at a big crossroads in life and want more information as they make decisions when the stakes are high. I also help others learn more about Intuition and the Spirit World through my podcast, Modern Life and Spirit podcast.

Tell us about yourself

I just celebrated my 15th business anniversary. When I first started out, I felt compelled to help others find the greater peace that I had found through connecting with the other side. I'm inspired every day to push the limits of my own ideas of "what's possible." I see this in remarkable evidence coming through during readings or in the awakening people have as they first begin to experience Spirit for themselves in my Communicate with your Spirit Guides online class. It is fun to expect miracles!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My greatest accomplishment as a business owner has been helping people who are in very difficult life experiences find hope, peace, and meaning. It is special to know that even one message from Spirit that shows evidence of their Loved One who passed or their Spirit Guides has the power to change someone's life and help them heal.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being aware of the balance between busyness and impact. I've had to learn to balance my own energy resources and focus on the areas that make a true impact on my business.

There is always a temptation to add more and more to the "to-do list," but I find that I make the most impact when I edit that list down and focus on my core audience and their needs.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Start somewhere. Don't get overwhelmed by the long list of what you "should" be doing, and focus on one goal and one strategy. When you have that down, move on to the next one.
  2. Be clear on your core audience. Focus on their needs and how you can meet them where they are at. When you are clear, you will clearly attract.
  3. Get over being camera-shy! People want to make a connection with a real person and a real brand. Help them get to know you, so they can make the decision if you are right for them.
