Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and fitness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Scott Moore, Founder of Scott Moore Yoga, located in Nice, Côte d'Azur, France

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I love to work with everyday people to facilitate deep and lasting transformation through the power of Yoga Nidra to wake up to their true potential and be the person they are destined to become. I also mentor other conscious entrepreneurs on how to make a positive impact on the world while also making a great living doing what they love.

Tell us about yourself

I have been a career yoga teacher for 20 years, and I LOVE to work with people to see how yoga and meditation act as a complete game-changer in people's lives. I also love showing other teachers how to share their unique gifts with the world and create a global audience.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

In the past three years, I've published two books, have made myself non-location-dependent, and work less, earned more, and reached more people than ever before in my career.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Nobody hands you a manual about how to move forward. There is a lot of trial and error. It's easy to stagnate.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Understand your strengths and leverage those as a first rule. The formula for success that I've learned is interest breeds excellence, and excellence breeds opportunities.
  2. Search to truly understand your ideal client.
  3. Don't be attached to anything you've done in the past—learn to scrap it all and do something new in service to your client.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Having a successful business, creating a global audience, and making great money doing what you love isn't that complicated. It just takes consistent work. I believe in doing your best to make the world a better place and allowing the genius of the people you work with to shine through.
