What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping a client 3X+ his business, and it is about to grow exponentially. He reduced his work hours from 80 to 20 and could spend time with his young family. He has a plan to sell his business on his terms and share a portion of the proceeds with the people who helped him build the business. The same principles work in any business that will fully implement them.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The growing responsibility for doing the business work and knowing that several families are depending on your success for their livelihood.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Commit to excellent finances.
  2. Create a great strategic plan to achieve clarity on your values, who you serve, and how.
  3. Implement the plan by building a team in alignment with your values; show them your strategic plan and how their job helps accomplish it.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

The most important factor in business success is culture! The other factors need to be strong as well and support a great culture.
