What's your business, and who are your customers?
I own and operate ScaleFactor, a coaching and consulting company that helps small business owners gain the clarity and confidence they need to scale their businesses.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a sales and marketing person who loves to see businesses grow and scale. I've seen too many times where companies struggle to grow and scale. The reality is it comes down to either sales or marketing or both. I've helped thousands of 7-figure businesses use our 7 Factors of Scale framework to break through revenue and profit barriers they were previously experiencing. It's so fun to see companies do this and what it means for them. They can hire more people, have more impact, transform people's lives, and create a legacy for their families.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Helping other business owners unlock a different future for their businesses that they didn't think was possible, or thought was 5-10 years away.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about running a business is as you continue to grow, it becomes more complex with people, systems, processes, etc. Where I want to take my business is a place I've never been before, so I have to continue to learn from others that have been ahead of me.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Get clear on why you do what you do. This is what motivates you to get out of bed each morning and push through the hard things in your business.
- Make sure you have a product that is actually solving a need or pain point in the marketplace and that people will pay for it.
- Set goals, write them down, and look at them on a consistent basis.
