What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a female-owned and operated hot sauce company. Our customers are bold dreamers that bring the "impossible" to life through self-confidence and creativity.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a natural-born entrepreneur with a passion for brand development through consumer connection. I tap into what our consumer feels when they see, taste, and touch our product. I believe in integrity marketing, making only claims that we believe in and that inspire our consumers to reach for more in their own personal life experiences. At the end of the day, I always wanted to lead the hot sauce industry as a female. I'd say one of my main motivations is to become an industry leader as an influential female.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As a business owner, I'd say one of my biggest accomplishments is surviving the pandemic. SAUCE BOSS GANG was created three months prior to the pandemic, and we have truly pivoted the business model consistently for three years. It has made us extremely strong as a brand and has created opportunities in places we would have never landed otherwise.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I'd say one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is accepting failure. Sometimes you are too emotionally connected to the goal, and you can't see the path clearly. When major challenges occur, I think it's critical to get outside perspectives from advisors, colleagues, and consumers.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I'd advise future and current entrepreneurs to be patient, realistic, and consistent with all their goals.
