Tell us about yourself

Trailblazing, innovative, and resilient. Born and raised in Switzerland, I moved to Germany in my early teens, and after receiving my bachelor’s degree in fashion/millinery/fur design, I packed up my suitcase and moved to the USA. After a couple of years of adjusting to a new lifestyle, I was able to work for Jive Records in Chicago. Jive Records allowed me to learn how the entertainment industry works and gave me the foundation to become the first female tour manager.

Through my years of experience, I’ve worked with many leading entertainers, actors, athletes, corporations, nonprofits, and some remarkable entertainment industry notables. In addition, I am an entrepreneur, using my skills and knowledge as a mentor and consultant to support my clients with the best information, facts, and the newest trends.

I have proven to consistently consult and govern projects utilizing effective communication, cohesive team-building strategies, and priority management skills. Featured in many magazines, books, and interviews, I excel in fostering new alliances with a depth of vision to inspire achievement while maximizing strengths in others.

Sassy B Worldwide Productions, Inc. was established to bring my expertise in worldwide red carpets, celebrity events, concert touring, branding, and image and lifestyle consulting to entertainers and businesses. Sassy B’s name reflected my personality and was given to me while on the road. My clientele reaches the world of sports, movies, film, politics, fashion & beauty, corporate, and speakers.

I continually challenge myself with new projects. I teamed up with a few colleagues and developed the online lifestyle magazine NSAEN, LLC (No Strings Attached E-News) and one year ago managed to establish the NSAEN channel on e360TV, an online streaming network. (Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Android TV) My passion lies in helping individuals of all age groups, regardless of background, to help them become their best selves.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

There are several accomplishments I can share. I was the music industry’s first female tour & road manager thirty-five years ago. I managed for ten years the first African American Sumo Wrestler and largest athlete in the world “Emmanuel Yarbrough.” There are only a handful of female managers in the Sumo world. I received the “President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Volunteering” from President Biden.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

When you’re the boss, you must be “on” 24/7. For some, this is one of the most challenging aspects of running your own business. Even if you’re sick, you must answer business calls and attend important meetings. Discipline and learning to say no, as you must stay focused and stick with your business plan/goals.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know your strengths and weaknesses, manage your money wisely, and build meaningful business relationships.
  2. It is setting realistic goals and concentrating on small incremental goals rather than trying to start the business with the idea of being instantly successful.
  3. Have a solid business plan to identify your product or services.
  4. It never hurts to ask for advice.
