Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sasha Lipskaia, Spiritual Embodiment Trainer, Host of "Being Brave with Sasha Lipskaia Podcast," and Intuitive Coach, located in Pointe-Claire, QC, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Now I get to guide others on this journey. I am a spiritual embodiment teacher, Reiki master, ICF ACC intuitive mindset coach, and sacred intimacy& sexuality mentor to people who feel disconnected from their truth, dreams, purpose, and who they want to be. Do you know how your life sometimes feels like a puzzle where you try to put your authentic self and your life's value and meaning together? That is what I do with those searching for the freedom to live as who they authentically are.

I work with creative, entrepreneurial, open-minded, and spiritually oriented people from all over the world who are ready to feel alive and free of their fears. My clients want to embody who they really are and connect deeper to their intuitive guidance and what they consider to be a higher presence in their lives. In my work, I focus on supporting my clients and students in reclaiming their sovereignty.

Their joy, power, and peace by re-connecting to their heart wisdom and, with it, discovering something sacred and always whole inside of them. The focus of my work is always to guide my clients to live in harmony between an embodied, grounded, and healthy presence in their lives and their search for peace, purpose, self-worth, and self-love.

I act as their mirror, guide, sounding board, and spiritual advisor as we play and explore their life inside a space where the transformation and healing they need can occur in due time. In our coaching sessions, I may work with shamanic journeying, tantric embodiment practices, archetypes, classic coaching, and spiritual tools depending on my clients' specific struggles, blocks, and desires. However, I am committed to making spirituality enjoyable, simple, accessible, and practical.

As my teacher, Moojibaba, often says: "You do not need to do any spiritual gymnastics to embody your truth, peace, and freedom." I do not believe you need complicated, lengthy practices or to sacrifice parts of your life that bring you joy to find your purpose or feel connected to the divine guidance within you. It is already in you. My job is to hold a safe space for you to express yourself, witness and amplify the truth you are revealing while keeping you accountable to your vision when fear and egoic resistance creep in and risk sabotaging the life you want. Be it just one intensive session, six months, or a full year of deep coaching, my clients and I co-create their unique self-discovery and self-actualization journey that meets them where they are.

Tell us about yourself

For as long as I can remember, I had an intuitive pull for creative expression and went deeper into holistic healing while coming into harmony with my spiritual essence and true purpose. I was inspired to be of service to others in a similar way that my mentors and coaches have been to me. So I explored various professions, from a communication teacher and social worker to a wellness and mindset coach to a feminist media creator and scholar in my academic graduate work to an intuitive reader and energy worker.

Here we are, twenty years down the road, after I first wanted to learn to lead others into their truth. My many roles, experiences, and multi-faceted education have merged into a holistic style of intuitive coaching work so that I can effectively serve my clients in all areas of their self-actualization journey.

I am inspired to wake up and go to bed, knowing I showed and gave my best self to those I am destined to guide. It is incredible to witness a person share their most profound truth, perhaps for the first time, and we both feel a considerable weight lift from their being. To be privy to someone's insight or epiphany is a gift. I am humbled that I get to coach, teach, write, create videos, and podcasts, write poetry, connect with exceptional people, and keep exploring my work and potential, learning alongside my community.

Being the mirror of someone's beauty and inner power is a gift. Every day I feel deep appreciation that I get to be aware of how incredible human beings and our relationship to ourselves can become.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The most significant accomplishment in my practice is that I have nurtured loving relationships and deep respect for and with my clients. Some have become good friends and collaborators. Faithful, profound, loving, and evolving human relationships and our role in "walking each other home" is what my life and work are about. So, being part of my clients' transformation experience, their mysteriously unfolding lives, and our connection has been my most significant success!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

To be able to not take things personally, especially in the online space, and if you are a service provider. It is not even about thick skin or indifference. It is more about "not minding" anything that makes you feel "rejected" or as if you failed. That is where you grow and learn. Seeing everything that happens, including tech issues, rejected proposals, no-shows to sales calls, unsubscribes, criticism...as a gift. There is always something you can improve in "how" you run your business and deliver your service, and it is not personal, although you feel it is. You learn that they are not your "business persona." Your ego goes to die a little more, and You get to see what you are without any need for approval or acceptance, figuring out who your tribe is and what truly matters in your work.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know what your heart's truth stands for, and trust your intuition.
  2. Focus on your relationships with people you feel a connection with, regardless of what their "role" is in your business or around it. People are everything. So offer to support them, share your heart, and serve them! It always comes down to our capacity to embody love and community.
  3. Always give more than expected, and be kind instead of trying to be right.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Know that whatever life needs you to do, you will hear. So learn to hear it. Trust your inner guidance, and keep going. Ask for support, and give it freely. Whatever you think you need, you will find within. And then, you get to share that with the world! There is no one like you, and so your business will only be as unique, as real, as powerful, and as valuable as you feel you are. Go for it, and enjoy the game. You have won already.
