What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a New York City-based Wedding & Elopement Photographer. I create unique and lasting memories for couples from all over the world. My clients are couples who want to enjoy the day, have a stress-free adventure, and have their wedding day captured in a unique and genuine way.
Tell us about yourself
I studied photography while still working as an architect in the Big Apple. I didn't realize it at first, but it turns out the two are intertwined for me. Light and shadow appear differently when I capture images, and the leading lines play a big role in my art. Combine that with my love of capturing emotions and human beings, and you end up with genuinely one-of-a-kind wedding photography. I'm ready to capture your love story, your hand-squeezes, and your secret smiles against the backdrop of the best city in the world. Are you game?
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The obvious answer would be all the awards I have won for my photography, but the truthful answer would be that my biggest accomplishments happen every day when I am able to make someone's wedding day special and unforgettable.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
It is hard to say 'no' sometimes. You don't want to disappoint a couple, and if I could, I would photograph multiple weddings a day. But it is important for me to concentrate on the newlyweds fully and to make them feel special.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do not wait until you have it all figured out because then you might never start. Jump in and then grow and evolve with the tasks ahead.
- Put yourself in your client's shoes. How do you want to be treated when booking a service and then creating that exact experience for them?
