Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sarita Buer, Founder of Sarita Wellness, located in San Diego, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Sarita Wellness helps women heal their relationship with themselves in order to manifest their best life. The women who have struggled with controlling their outcomes and have self-detachment to the point they aren't living the life that is most aligned with themselves.

Tell us about yourself

I had the intention of starting a wellness business through the use of essential oils, and through that, I was introduced to the world of personal development. So what first began as a journey of self-exploration has actually since developed into a full-grown business. It has been a journey of about eight years thus far, and what motivates me is being better from the last day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Apart from coaching numerous clients, my biggest accomplishment thus far has been starting my Podcast, Back to Here With Sarita, after speaking about it for so long.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Comparison. It is something that comes up on a daily the be quite honest. With the prevalence of social media, it can be very easy to slip into the mode of comparison and seeing what others are doing and then judging your journey because you are not "in the same place as them." It has been not only learning to develop a thick skin but also keeping focused and working against resistance that comes up.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be a full body, yes. Being a business owner puts you through a lot, so make sure you are in it for the long haul.
  2. Trust Yourself. As I mentioned above, there is a LOT of noise out there. There are people out there telling you HOW and WHAT, and it's great to have so many resources available for us, and you get to develop the muscle of trusting you know what is best for you and your business growth.
  3. Have Fun! Undoing the old way of thinking that it has to be hard, difficult, and challenging ALL the time has been something I learned over time. Allowing yourself to actually have fun within your business helps to develop a healthy relationship with it.
