Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sanket Vyas, co-owner of Sure Cure Wellness, located in Carrolton, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We help people around 40+ yrs old to get rid of pain without pain meds and stay active without any limitations. Many people do not know that physical therapy can help to get rid of chronic pain, and they can see a physical therapist without referrals. We offer physical therapy and other wellness programs to help people live a better, more active life without pain meds and surgery.

Tell us about yourself

My wife Niti and I started our journey back in late 2018. We have both been working in a large corporate company for the past 10 yrs, but we realize that people are not getting the attention and skills that physical therapy can offer. A physical therapist can make a huge difference in people's life. We have seen more than 5000 patients in 2021, and we have helped so many patients to avoid surgery and live pain-free life. What motivates me daily is the satisfaction of helping people to avoid surgery and live an active life. When I hear from a patient that "I was not able to do this before but now I can" or "my pain is gone and I don't take any pain meds," that motivates me every day. Making a difference in people's life always makes you feel good.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is that we have created a model with strong core values which helps people to get better. We are following our mission statement to help people to get rid of pain without pain meds and stay active life. We have helped more than 5000 patients in 2021, and our model is so simple that we can expand and try to help many more people in the near future.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest part is the discipline. As a business owner, you wear multiple hats, but you have to be disciplined not to get involved in day-to-day tasks and lose the vision. Also, develop different skill sets as a leader so your team function efficiently.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

My top three things that I wish I had known before:

  1. Have a clear vision for the next 3 yrs,5 yrs, and 10 yrs.
  2. Don't work in business; work on it.
  3. Your team is your strength; you work for them.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Starting a business has taught me a lot; I think business gives you a platform to make changes in the community if you understand the process well. You can have a tremendous impact on your life and your community.
