What's your business, and who are your customers?
Sandbox Family Services is a multi-specialty and multidisciplinary clinic. At Sandbox Family Services, we provide culturally sensitive, evidence-based mental health services to help bridge the gap between living an unfulfilled life to a fulfilling one. We offer infant mental health services and provide support to children with developmental delays as well as support teens and adults as well as couples navigate life and their relationships.
Tell us about yourself
I was motivated to build a clinic to provide more support and outreach to our community. I am only one person, but as a collective group, we can help many more individuals and families with their struggles. I am motivated to do the work I do every day by seeing so many lives changed and so many couples and families, as well as little ones with developmental delays, master their goals. That is the true meaning of life for me, helping others and witnessing their growth through their struggles.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is having a strong team of clinicians and infant specialists and seeing them help our clients.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner is the lack of funding for the mental health field as well as taxes that do not support small business owners in California.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I would say to have a dream, follow it, and keep going.
